BOARD MEMBER PROFILES

Dr. Kamalakara Sharma is the chairman and Managing Director of Sri Raghavendra Hospitals, Mylardevpally, Katedan, Rajendranagar and is an Anaesthesia Specialist. Dhanwantari Foundation International was conceptualised by Dr. Pantangi Kamalakara Sharma as a sequel to the dream vision and instruction from Lord Sree Raghavendra Swamy to his father late Sri Pantangi Venkateswara Shastry to establish “Vidyalayas, Vydyalayas, Mudranalayas” and render free education. Consequent upon the above dream vision, “Sree Raghavendra Sanskruta Vidyalay” was established in 1970 and was inaugurated by late Sri P V. Narasimha Rao Garu the then Educational Minister of AP and former Prime Minister of India. Similarly, the foundation stone for Sree Raghavendra Hospitals was laid by His Holiness Sree Sushameendra Teertha Swamiji the then Peethadhipati of Mantralayam in 1995. Late Sri Krishna Kanthji, the then Governor of AP was the Chief Guest during the occasion. From the inception, free outpatient services are rendered to the society every Thursday morning irrespective of their caste, creed or religion. More than 150 patients are benefitted on every Thursday.

Dhanwantari Foundation International was established in 2004 to strengthen the Brahmin Community in the areas of Education, Finance, Healthcare services, Shelter, Tradition & Culture and inculcate living in accordance with true moral code of conduct as ordained in our scriptures so that Brahmins in turn guide the rest of the society to live in peace and harmony. Doctor Sharma is the driving force behind Dhanwantari Foundation International and is striving for the welfare of Brahmins even at the cost of his own profession and his own hospital.
